SECRED
GALLERY
Campari is excited to present the Campari SECRED Gallery, a Berlin exclusive art activation developed under the umbrella of its creative hub: Campari “Red Passion”. Established by Campari in 2020, this hub gives international artists a platform to share their creative motivation and artistic drive, inspiring people to discover their own passion. Reflecting the colorfulness, Campari Amalfi is offered for tasting at the SECRED Gallery bringing the Italian lifestyle to Berlin's doorstep — bright, bitter and refreshing. Berlin has rightfully proven itself to be shamelessly called one of Europe's most exciting and creative cities and therefore is the perfect place for Campari’s SECRED Gallery — an art walk gallery including six spots in Berlin Mitte where you can discover and experience various artworks in different locations ranging from backyards and concept stores to cafés and hidden gardens. The SECRED Gallery will open from June 22nd to 27th, celebrating art being accessible again after months of lockdown. Fourteen artists have been brought together by the curator Lukas Feireiss, showcasing a mix of paintings, sculptures, and installations.

AN INTRODUCTION TO THE SECRED GALLERY BY ITS CURATOR LUKAS FEIREISS: “Over a period of six days, we will be showing works by fourteen very different contemporary artists at six different locations in Berlin-Mitte, whose work encompasses painting, illustration, sculpture, and installation. The curatorial link between this selection of works is their formal-aesthetic approach to form, color, and material. They are all characterized by the sensitive interplay of both abstract and color-intensive elements.“ AN ARTIST STATEMENT FROM SOMEPLACE STUDIO, THE EXHIBITION DESIGNERS: “Part exhibition, part event venue the spatial design for Campari SECRED Gallery is inspired by the visual depth and color of campari cocktails. Using industrial welding curtains to delimit spaces and guide visitors, a series of six hybrid locations are created including sculptural elements, large scale graphics, a ghost container and multiple bars. The intervention at each venue is site specific while tying it all together with common visual themes and materials.“ Campari Red Passion has also asked all participating artists put their own passion for art into words. This artist statement can be found for every artist, by clicking on their artist profile below.
